The Farm Sanctuary has two shelters, one in Northern California and one in New York. California's shelter is 300 acres big, providing care and rehabilitation to farm animals who are rescued from cruelty and neglect. Fact: each year, about 900,000 pigs are beaten, injured, violently dragged, and shocked for slaughter.
